The
standardization program at Aladdin Industries involved a comprehensive
overhaul of the entire thermal product line across all brands. It
included redesign of all components resulting in a 40% parts reduction,
a color guidelines program which improved production efficiency
by 70%, and the first corporate identity program for the company.
Responsible
for product design as well as the Aladdin Standards Manual, I worked
with a comprehensive team of industrial designers, production engineers
and marketing professionals to create the product and graphic guidelines
that continue to be an integral part of the company after more than
15 years.
The
soft-insulated products in this section were Aladdin's first entry
into non-plastic thermal products and secured new distribution channels
with more upscale retailers and merchandisers.
